Worship. Renew. Connect.
The 2026 Soma Retreat is an annual event that gives participants an opportunity to make intentional time for worship, renewal, connection, and mission vision. We encourage men and women in leadership teams at existing Soma churches, church plants, and adoption cohorts to attend together to strengthen and equip in community.
2026 THEME
Surrendered and Free
Scripture reminds us that everyone is yoked to something—ambition, fear, or the approval of others—but only Christ’s yoke leads to life and rest for the soul (Matthew 11:29–30).
“Surrendered and Free” invites us to rediscover the paradox of the gospel: that true freedom comes through surrender to Christ. When we take His yoke upon us, we exchange the weight of sin, guilt, and striving for His strength, grace, and direction.
“Having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” — Romans 6:18
For all who lead and serve within the body of Christ, this theme is a call back to the gospel that sustains our work, centers our identity in Christ, and calls us to incarnational living—embodying His presence and purpose in the world. In following Him, we find that what feels like surrender is actually the deepest form of freedom.
